Support JA - Whole School Partner

010Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan’s success depends primarily on the support of local businesses, both for funding and volunteers. Caring adults take time from their daily lives to volunteer and teach the JA curriculum to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

JA Whole School Partnership($10,000)

A Whole School Partnership is special, because it allows you to adopt a school in your neighborhood, the place you do business. Every student at your chosen school benefits from JA’s programs and your company’s employees have the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with students and teachers. JA works directly with you to determine a partnership school and helps you recruit volunteers from your firm (if you desire). Although volunteering is optional, the benefits to your employees and the students they teach are priceless.

JA MATH ACHIEVERS WHOLE SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP ($15,000)

In addition to the benefits described above, JA Math Achievers provides additional math focus and instruction to the curricula taught by volunteers. The schools chosen for this project have low proficiency scores in Math based on MEAP testing.

What is a Whole School Partner?

Companies can become Whole School Partners by providing funding and the volunteers necessary to cover the cost of the materials, training, servicing and recruitment of volunteers. Smaller organizations can also become involved by providing several volunteers and partnering with another firm to reach an entire school.

Whole School Partners provide:

  • A financial investment of $10,000 to $15,000 to cover all program materials, training, supplies, staffing and evaluation needed to carry out the programs.
  • A commitment to provide the necessary volunteers to teach Junior Achievement curriculum in every classroom – average is 15 (the # of volunteers needed depends on the # of classrooms in the school).
  • The appointment of a liaison from your organization to work with Junior Achievement staff representatives to coordinate the activities between your organization and the schools.

Whole School Partner Benefits include:

  • Logo recognition on the homepage of JA’s website.
  • Recognition in Whole School Partner media release
  • Banner at your Partner school (if desired)
  • Recognition in JA's Annual Report
  • Skill-based volunteerism opportunity for employees - in a recent survey conducted with businesses that support JA, 83% agree that volunteering for Junior Achievement is a great opportunity for employee development.
  • Exposing your company to potential future employees
  • Feature article in JA's eNewsletter - JA Journal, reaching 5,000 constituents

JA makes it easy for your company to:

  • Be actively engaged in your community.
  • Experience immediate benefits from your involvement.
