Programs - Quicken Loans JA Finance Park
Some of life’s most important lessons aren’t taught in school. Like how to run a household, manage a monthly budget or buy a house. But now students can learn all of the budgeting and finance skills they’ll need to become financially-responsible adults at Quicken Loans JA Finance Park.
Quicken Loans JA Finance Park is a Junior Achievement program that teaches financial literacy concepts and career exploration opportunities. At the end of the program, students have a one-day budget simulation where they’ll put their knowledge into practice. The result? An understanding of the importance of developing a personal budget, maintaining good credit and recognizing the true cost of financing purchases.
The Quicken Loans JA Finance Park program for middle and high school students includes:
- Includes up to 27 forty-five minute classroom lessons.
- Curriculum aligned with Michigan Content Standards
- Teacher lesson plans & student workbooks provided that cover: Financial Institutions, Debit vs. Credit, Salaries & Taxes, Investing, Budgeting and Career Exploration
- A one-day budgeting simulation to apply what they’ve learned
