Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success. Our volunteer-delivered, K-12 programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneuriship and financial literacy skills. JA’s experiential learning inspires kids to dream big and reach their potential.

Martin Lavelle is an Associate Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (Detroit Branch) and an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has worked as a JA Volunteer since 2006
